“You want to make sure with a race in which you'll be flying home with other drivers that you don't crash into them. It's happened before, and it can make for a little bit of a tense situation.”
The 11th staging of the Dubai Airshow will take place from November 15 to 19 at the Airport Expo Centre in Dubai, UAE. In past years the event has focused on military and commercial aviation, but business aviation has been making its presence felt. At the 2007 event (the show is held every two years) private and corporate jet sales reached $2.7 billion.
Organizers expect this year's event to be bigger-at least in terms of space-than the previous record-setting event and have added another exhibit hall. At press time, more than 100 business aviation companies-including Bombardier, Hawker Beechcraft and Gulfstream-had committed to a presence at the event.
Aviation International News, a sister publication of Business Jet Traveler, will publish daily issues at the event and post the news online at www.ainonline.com.
