Fractional provider Flight Options has launched the Jet Club Membership program, which provides access to Embraer's
Phenom 300 light jets without an asset purchase or monthly management fees. The program has two levels, allowing members to use either 75 or 150 hours of flight time within a 36-month period. Those who join pay a one-time membership fee and then buy 25 or 50 flight hours at a time. Similar to fractional ownership, the program provides an opportunity to lock in the base hourly rate over the term of a contract, subject to an annual adjustment. Membership also guarantees a 12-hour response time with full access to Flight Options' primary and extended service areas. The Cleveland-based company anticipates having 15 Phenom 300s in operation by the end of 2011.
