Basketball fans should circle July 15 on their calendars. That's when the WNBA All-Star game returns to the nation's capital. The game, the eighth in the league's 11-year history, pits some of the best and most popular players of the Eastern Conference against those in the Western Conference. While the battle for bragging rights is the culmination of the event, the competition also includes a three-point shootout and the popular Dribble, Dish and Swish Skills Challenge, an obstacle course that gives select players the chance to showcase their speed, skill and accuracy.

The best airport fo r business jet travelers to use is Washington Dulles, 23 miles from the Verizon Center, which is hosting the event. The three FBOs on the field-Dulles Jet Center, Landmark Aviation and Signature-can provide fuel and services. Those who would prefer to use a non-airline field should consider Virginia's Leesburg Executive or Manassas.

“This is going to be mind blowing. Mind blowing…It’s about having an architecture that would enable the creation of a self-sustaining city on Mars with the objective of being a multi-planet species and a true space-faring civilization and one day being out there among the stars…I’m so tempted to talk more about the details of it. But I have to restrain myself. ”
