Elite Aviation Files Suit for Unpaid Flights

Charter operator Elite Aviation has filed a breach-of-contract and fraud complaint against broker JetCardPlus and some individuals who set up and operated charters arranged by the broker and flown by Elite. The lawsuit filed by Van Nuys, Calif.-based Elite seeks more than $220,000, plus interest, attorney fees and court costs.

Greenwich, Conn.-based CitationShares has announced partnerships with TerraPass, a retailer of carbon offsets, and Corporate Angel Network, a charity that arranges free flights to treatment for cancer patients. CitationShares customers can now donate flight hours to the charity and can balance their "carbon footprint" by purchasing carbon offsets from TerraPass for hours they fly.
Aviation Services Facility Opens in Kansas City

The Hangar 10 aviation-services complex at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport in Kansas City, Mo., has opened. The operation is currently housed in temporary quarters on 10 acres at the northwest end of the airport, but ground was broken last January on a 91,000-square-foot facility that will include an executive terminal with a fitness center, pilot overnight rooms and other amenities.
New club offers flights, yachts and cars

Miami-based Air Platinum Club, which began operating in July, offers its members flight time on club-owned Gulfstream GIV-SPs. The club provides flights within the continental U.S. and between Paris and major U.S. cities. Members also have access to the club's 50-foot yacht, exotic sports cars and beachfront condo, all of which are in the Miami area.
