Located inside London’s posh 45 Park Lane Hotel, Wolfgang Puck’s Cut is truly a cut above. Fine dining in London can be hit or miss but Cut does things right, with world-class steaks, top-end service and a casual yet cool atmosphere.

For starters, don’t miss the fresh and vibrant bigeye tuna tartar with wasabi aioli, ginger and soy. The English pea soup, another standout appetizer, arrives with morel mushroom and confit bacon. Also, ask for an order of the gorgeous cheese puffs.

Though beautifully prepared fish and lamb dishes are entrée items, Cut specializes in beef, with 100 percent pure-breed Waygu beef from Queensland, Australia, juicy USDA Prime 35-day-aged cuts from Arkansas City, Kansas, and 28-day-aged Angus steaks from South Devon, England. Before you order, samples of the various cuts of beef will be brought to the table and the friendly, professional staff will help you decide which to try. 

Fine sides such as the Desiree-potato puree and roasted baby carrots with sweet turnips complement the meats. Cut’s ample wine list offers a good match for the cuisine. Desserts include chocolate soufflé, lovely homemade ice creams and precious little cakes.
