Landmark Aviation has added Jimsair Aviation Services to its FBO network, giving it a total of 42 facilities in the U.S., Canada and Western Europe. The deal also included an air charter service formerly operated by Jimsair, as well as Lindy Premier Inflight Catering, located on the FBO premises and also previously under Jimsair management.

Just a few years ago, the term "FBO" would have drawn blank stares throughout most of Asia. Today, the region is savvier about general aviation and more focused on making itself hospitable for private aircraft. Still, travelers should not expect Western-style infrastructure or support.
