Charter Operator Debuts Mobile App

Solairus Aviation-an aircraft charter, management and maintenance firm-has introduced a mobile app that allows Web-connected users to see one-way flight availability in real time. Users can also enter information about where they want to fly and arrange to receive auto-notifications via e-mail whenever a flight becomes available that matches the criteria they've specified.

According to Solairus, which is based in Petaluma, Calif. (near San Francisco), the app is Web-based and therefore untethered from third-party app-store restrictions. It is available for download from Solairus' Web site and has been confirmed to work on Apple's iPad and iPhone, the Motorola Droid and the BlackBerry Torch, among other devices.

The Solarius product is just the latest in a series of bizav apps that have appeared recently. For more on these apps--including one from BJT--click here.
