Charter Operator OK'd for Washington National Arrivals

Stratos Jet Charters says it can now provide direct service from Long Island, N.Y.'s Republic Airport to Ronald Reagan Washington National, which is in downtown Washington. Since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Transportation Security Administratoin has restricted private jet access to Ronald Reagan Washington National. To fly there, private jets must first pass security screenings at one of the TSA's gateway airports, which include Republic. Private jets arriving in Washington from non-gateway airports must land at Washington Dulles in Chantilly, Va.
