Constant Aviation Working To Keep Germs Off Business Jets
Business aircraft MRO Constant Aviation has completed MicroShield 360 applications in the cabins of more than 20 business jets since being named the exclusive applicator of the antimicrobial coating system earlier this month. It most recently applied the colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic product, which kills 99.99 percent of pathogens on treated surfaces for one year, in aircraft operated by Part 135 firm Champion Air. When applied, the product immediately begins to polymerize on treated surfaces, minimizing both drying time and aircraft downtime.
According to Constant Aviation, MicroShield 360 protects the surface by constantly reducing microbial contamination of more than 90 pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and all flu strains. Untreated commonly handled objects and surfaces in an aircraft cabin that are contaminated can harbor, and thus spread, viruses and bacteria for months, it added.
MicroShield 360 is suitable for all airframes and can be applied at Constant’s facilities in Cleveland; Mesa, Arizona; and Orlando, Florida, as well as in Teterboro. New Jersey.
