Flight-Risk Assessment Tool Introduced

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has introduced a risk-assessment tool called RA Check that may interest your flight department. The FAA-endorsed tool identifies potential hazards before flight and employs a five-step process to weigh the risk associated with each hazard. Developed by FAA officials, aircraft operators and other industry representatives, the tool removes subjectivity and standardizes results, NATA says, saving operators time and money while improving safety. NATA is offering a free 30-day trial registration; after that, a subscription costs $99.95 ($79.95 for NATA members) per aircraft per month, though discounts apply for more than three aircraft.
