Texas Charter Operator Receives ARG/US Platinum Recertification

Dallas-based Business Jet Access--which provides air charter as well as aircraft management and maintenance--has received a Platinum-rating recertification from Aviation Research Group/U.S. The Platinum rating, which BJA has held since 2006, is the highest designation given to charter operators by ARG/US. It has been awarded to fewer than 10 percent of the approximately 1,000 U.S. companies operating jet and turboprop aircraft for passenger charter.

Besides earning Platinum re-certification, Business Jet Access recently received an FAA Part 145 Repair Station certification. The company also has the distinction of being the only Dallas-Fort Worth-area charter operator authorized to conduct flights into and out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport by the Transportation Security Administration.

Business Jet Access currently manages 11 aircraft, nine of which are available for charter. Among them is a BAC 1-11 (in photo) that holds 30 passengers and has been used by musical and theatrical groups as well as college sports teams. This aircraft is a 1967 model but has been refurbished several times and has Stage III hush kits installed.
