TSA To Take New Look at Access to Washington National

The Transportation Security Administration wants to make it easier for general aviation flights to use Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport under post-9/11 security rules. Former NetJets and Northwest Airlines pilot Brian Delauter, who now heads the general-aviation sector at the TSA, said recently that the agency will meet with stakeholders next month to discuss the matter. Under current law, general aviation is entitled to 48 slots per day at the airport and Delauter called that number "an attainable goal."
