“"I've got a list of corporations that have gotten out of their airplanes [because of criticism from politicians]. It is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. When you look at the time and cost savings; it does not make sense not to fly [privately]. You can't let public perception interfere with your business decision to fly. It either is a good business decision or it isn't."”
Jet Aviation Picks Airbus Cabin Designer
Jet Aviation, based in Basel, Switzerland, has contracted with internationally known designer Philippe Starck to fashion an executive/VIP interior for a customer's Airbus A330-200. The cabin will be fitted with a master bedroom and dressing room, lounge, conference/dining room and private salon. An aft section will be configured in business class and equipped with a galley. The project will be a joint effort by Starck and
the design and engineering department of Jet Aviation, which is preparing for the project by producing a full-size mockup.
