Slimmer SKYLink Brings Broadband to More Aircraft

Arinc's new, slimmer Ku-band antenna design for its SKYLink satellite in-flight broadband service is now available. The original antenna, created for Gulfstream, allows a fit in a wider range of tail-mounted radomes on other aircraft, including the Dassault Falcon Jet line and Bombardier's Global and Challenger models. The structure of the antenna is the only change from the original SKYLink package. Broadband will offer the same connection speeds as with the original antenna package-an aircraft-to-ground data rate of 128 kilobits per second and a ground-to-aircraft data rate varying from 512 kbps to 3.5 mbps.
