Boeing Proposes Cabin Designs for Executive 787

Boeing Business Jets has introduced design proposals for an executive/VIP version of its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The size of the cabin-nearly 19 feet wide and 118 feet long-makes it possible to create "a beautiful environment...whether you are looking for a flying palace or a business office in the sky," said Boeing Business Jets president Steven Hill. No less important to passenger comfort are pressurization to 6,000 feet altitude (about 2,000 feet less than the typical airliner) and environmental controls that allow for more humidity.

The Seattle manufacturer claims firm orders for seven executive/VIP versions of the 787. The twinjet is expected to offer a range of slightly more than 11,000 miles, allowing nonstop flights to any point on the globe.
