Central Europe Bizav Association to Meet

The Czech capital of Prague will host the first meeting of the Central Europe Private Aviation Association (CEPA) on April 22 and 23. The recently formed group represents and coordinates the interests of business aviation companies in new European Union states, including the Czech and Slovak republics, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia. "There is this invisible border between the private aviation industries in Western and Eastern Europe," said CEPA founder and chairman Dagmar Grossmann, who is also CEO of charter operator Grossmann Jet Services. "For example, if a Bulgarian company purchases jets with financing from a German bank and insurance from a French insurance company, it might be deterred by several barriers. CEPA is going to make those connections happen."
