Charter Broker Announces "Empty Legs" Search App

Magellan Jets has launched an iPhone app called O.W.L. (One Way Leg). The app allows clients of the Braintree, Mass.-based charter broker to use their iPhone or iPad to search real-time availability data for "empty-leg" charter flights. These are flights that may be available at reduced rates because they would otherwise be operated without passengers to return an aircraft to its home base after a one-way journey. O.W.L., which uses GPS to locate the nearest airport, lets you  create a saved list of favorite airports; send personalized itinerary requests to Magellan Jets; and send flight options to another person in order to plan for travel together.
