CitationAir Recalls Pilots

CitationAir by Cessna has announced that 16 pilots--about 20 percent of those furloughed earlier this year--will be recalled. "We are gratified to be able to bring back so many of our pilots at a time when the industry needs to hear some good news," said Steve O'Neill, CEO of the Greenwich, Conn.-based company. O'Neill added that he noted a "significant uptick" in the firm's jet management business and was optimistic about the possibility of a "sustained recovery of our jet-card and jet-shares businesses in 2010." The news from CitationAir follows a recent upbeat quarterly report from another fractional provider, Clearwater, Fla.-based Avantair, which announced increased revenues and said it was adding pilots, flight hours and aircraft.
