Constant To Add Second Southwest Location

The addition of the new facility in Mesa, Arizona, follows the acquisition of the former StarPort facility in Orlando in March.

Cleveland-based maintenance, repair, and operations provider Constant Aviation is building up its presence in the Southwest with an agreement to open a location at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona. The facility will span 74,500 square feet, including 50,000 square feet of hangar space. “Our goal is to have the Mesa location operational in the third quarter of 2017,” said Constant Aviation president and CEO Stephen Maiden. “We will be working diligently to identify and hire top talent, as well as secure all necessary equipment.”

Business aviation veteran Stan Younger, who joined Constant in January after serving with Bombardier and Cessna Aircraft, will be responsible for implementation of the site as regional vice president. Scott Sweeny, another industry veteran who came on board a year ago as vice president of operations of the Birmingham and Las Vegas facilities, will oversee operations of the Arizona site.

The Mesa facility will become Constant’s second in the Southwest, after its Las Vegas location. It is also second to join the network in the past few months—Constant acquired StarPort in Sanford, Florida, in March.
