Corporate Angel Network Achieves Milestones

Corporate Angel Network, which arranges free flights to treatment for cancer patients and their families on corporate aircraft, has transported its 35,000th patient. The flight--operated by fractional-share provider NetJets--carried 16-month-old patient William Relyea, along with his mother and his grandmother, from Westchester County airport to his home in Syracuse, N.Y. William had been receiving treatment for neuroblastoma at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

The White Plains, N.Y.-based charity reached another milestone in July, when it helped to transport 307 patients, the largest monthly number since it began operations in 1981. More than 500 major corporations now participate in Corporate Angel Network's program.
