Cutter Helps Corporate Pilot Hit by Wildfire Losses

Cutter Aviation is participating in a charity to help the HondaJet pilot and his family after they lost their home and all their possessions in the blaze.

The recent outbreak of wildfires in Southern California has caused millions of dollars in property damage, including the destruction of the home of a Ventura-based corporate pilot and his young family, as well as those of his parents and in-laws, all of whom lost their possessions.

The efforts come as the airport is set to close for a 10-period while the city shortens the SMO runway.

Since he is a frequent customer of Cutter Aviation and pilots a HondaJet that was purchased from the company, Cutter is participating in a charity fund set up by one of its employees to collect donations to help the pilot provide comfort to his family during the holiday season. "He is sensitive to not seeking sympathy or looking like 'a project,' and he has asked that we not identify him directly," the charity page notes. One hundred percent of donations will go to help the family, according to Cutter.
