Deer Jet Launches Prepaid FBO Card

China’s largest and oldest aviation services provider looks to leverage its experience and resources to assist its customers.

HNA Group subsidiary Deer Jet, which claims to be China’s oldest and largest business aviation operators and services provider, has launched a prepaid FBO services card. Initially, it will be accepted at the eight Deer Jet FBOs, as well as nine other airports in China where the company provides services.

The program, which promises to make FBO payments smoother and faster at those locations, offers four tiers based on the amount deposited, starting with the Elite Card at Ұ300,000 ($43,423) up to the Platinum Card at Ұ1 million ($144,743). Each tier also offers increasing discounts on Deer Jet services such as ground handling, ramp agents, aircraft cleaning and, for foreign-registered flights, aircraft agents.

Other benefits include free FBO crew transportation and FBO ramp supervisor service use. According to Deer Jet vice president Frank Fang, the company will eventually look to expand the program’s acceptance, likely through the Hawker Pacific FBO chain, of which HNA Group is the largest shareholder.

Deer Jet has also started accepting reservations for Deer Jet Care Plus, a new program aimed at providing an additional level of service for managed aircraft clients. This program leverages the company’s experience and reach in all of its divisions.

Among the benefits of the program are provision of a backup aircraft to clients to complete their mission if a primary aircraft is grounded with a mechanical problem; assistance with obtaining licensing, permitting, and priority parking; VIP ground service, such as assisting clients through security and customs on request; and free aircraft cleaning. It will also offer advantages in maintenance, providing priority status to Care Plus members, cost savings, and the availability of specialized tools.
