Embraer's Bizjet Deliveries Buck Industry Trend

During a year that some business aircraft manufacturers would probably prefer to forget, Brazil's Embraer more than tripled its production of executive jets. The company delivered 115 of them in 2009, up from 36 in 2008. The total included 93 Phenom 100s (54 in the fourth quarter alone), one Phenom 300, 18 Legacy 600s (at left) and three Lineage 1000s. Embraer plans to start deliveries in the second half of 2010 of its Legacy 650, a $29.5 million super-midsize jet with 3,900-nautical-mile range.
