Falcon 8X Breaks Speed Record on Flight to Brazil

The record flight between New Jersey's Teterboro and Brazil's Foz do Iguaçu took eight hours and 46 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.86.

Dassault’s Falcon 8X, the largest jet in the French manufacturer’s current model line, set a speed record during the flight from New Jersey to Brazil for the annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition.

The flight—between New Jersey's Teterboro Airport (KTEB) and Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil (SBFI)—achieved an average speed of Mach 0.86 for a total time of eight hours, 46 minutes. Dave Belastock captained the flight along with first officer Ryan Duveneck.
