FlightSafety Begins Pilatus PC-24 Pilot, Maintenance Training

FlightSafety International has started Pilatus PC-24 pilot and maintenance training at its Dallas learning center. The Pilatus PC-24 simulator at the facility was recently approved for training by the European Aviation Safety Agency, following similar qualification by the Federal Aviation Administration last December.

“We are pleased to announce the start of training for the new Pilatus PC-24 aircraft in Dallas,” said FlightSafety executive vice president David Davenport. “FlightSafety and Pilatus worked closely together to ensure owners and operators of the PC-24 receive the highest-quality training.”

Deliveries are set to begin in 2017 on a model our reviewer considers peerless.

Pilots and maintenance technicians who operate and support the Pilatus PC-24 will benefit from the fidelity and reliability of the new PC-24 simulator, the companies said. It is equipped with the latest advances in technology, including FlightSafety’s Vital 1100 visual system, electric motion and control loading, and a new instructor operating station.

The PC-24 pilot and maintenance technician training programs will also use Matrix, FlightSafety’s integrated training system. This offers graphical flight-deck simulators for instructor-led and self-paced learning, desktop simulators used in classroom instruction, and the SimVu simulator flight debriefing system.

FlightSafety’s two learning centers in Dallas are equipped with 25 full-flight simulators. They are used to provide training for business and commercial aircraft manufactured by Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopter, Bombardier, Embraer, Dassault, Gulfstream, and Pilatus.
