Florida's Boca Raton Airport Sponsors School Supplies Drive

Boca Raton Airport along with its two FBOs, will be collecting back-to-school supplies for local children in need.

Florida’s Boca Raton Airport Authority (BRAA) is teaming up with its two resident FBOs—Atlantic Aviation and Signature Flight Support—on a drive to collect school supplies for children in need. BRAA is coordinating with Boca Raton community partner Spirit of Giving Network on the project.

Items such as socks, tissues, reams of ruled paper, #2 pencils, boxes of colored pens, mechanical pencils, highlighters, personal hand sanitizer, and  polo-style uniform shirts (red, navy, and light blue) in all sizes, as well as other school supplies, can be dropped off during business hours in the FBOs' lobbies or at the BRAA administration building.

Few experiences are as harrowing as having your child in the hospital.

“Having the right supplies can make all the difference for a child going back to school,” said BRAA executive director Clara Bennett. “Even donating things that we take for granted, like pens and pencils, can help a child start the year off on a positive note. The Spirit of Giving Network makes such a significant contribution to the community, and we’re honored to work with them to make this school year better for the children who need it most.”
