Get A Porsche With That Phenom
The automaker and Embraer have announced a limited-edition package deal.
Embraer and Porsche have announced the pairing of a limited-edition Phenom 300E and Porsche 911 Turbo S. The aircraft and luxury auto will have similar exterior and interior elements designed through a collaboration of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer and German carmaker. Deliveries will begin in 2021. Called Duet, the $10.9 million package will be limited to just 10 pairs and will include a three-piece baggage set and a Swiss titanium wristwatch that matches the clocks found on the panels of the Phenom 300Es and Porsche 911s.
Design inspiration for the aircraft mirrors that of the car, and vice versa, he added. For example, the sew style on the Phenom 300E seat is patterned after that of the 911 Turbo S, and the seats in both feature red pull straps, a Speed Blue accent stitch, and carbon-fiber shrouds. The cockpit seats of the Phenom 300E were redesigned to match the car.
The aircraft and car also feature the same exterior paint pallette and general scheme—the upper part with platinum silver metallic paint, transitioning to jet gray metallic at the bottom. Dividing the two paint colors is a trim strip with lines in brilliant chrome and speed blue. Further, the air intakes of the 911 Turbo S are painted in brilliant chrome to match the Phenom 300E’s nacelle leading edges. LED door projectors on the 911 cast the Duet collaboration logo on the ground, while the door sill trims feature a “No Step” plate, mirroring the messaging on the Phenom’s wing.
