Going Places: Beyond the Final Frontier
NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla., will host a celebration of 50 years of space exploration, November 1 to 4. The World Space Expo uses space exploration as the springboard to showcase aeronautics, space operations, future electronics and earth and life sciences.
The event will spotlight military flying, with demonstrations by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army Golden Knights, the service's parachute team.
Visitors flying in for the event will likely find Orlando International Airport the most convenient option. Kissimmee Municipal and Orlando Sanford offer runways long enough for business jets as well as jet fuel. Rental cars are available at Orlando Sanford.
