Starting later this year, Jet Aviation's St. Louis MRO will begin its transition into Gulfstream's ninth company-owned service center in the U.S.

Gulfstream Adding St. Louis to Factory Service Network

The former Jet Aviation facility, itself formerly Midcoast Aviation, will become Gulfstream's ninth company-operated U.S. service center next year.

Following an announcement recently regarding the fate of Jet Aviation’s St. Louis completions and MRO facility, the company, along with fellow General Dynamics subsidiary Gulfstream, issued a joint release yesterday to clarify that this portion of the business will transition to a company-owned Gulfstream maintenance center. The 53-acre complex, which consists of 10 buildings totalling 625,000 square feet of work space, will fulfill its current completions and maintenance commitments as it prepares for this transition by next year, the companies said.

“The transition addresses our excess maintenance capability in St. Louis, while helping Gulfstream provide additional support for its customers,” said David Paddock, Jet Aviation’s senior vice president and general manager of U.S. regional operations. He added that the company expects continued growth in its other core businesses—FBO, industry staffing, and aircraft charter/management. “Jet Aviation will continue to provide MRO services in Burbank, California, to support the growing West Coast-managed fleet, and also continue to operate the FBO at St. Louis Downtown Airport.”
