HondaJet Adds Taipei, Hong Kong to Greater China Visit

Honda is evaluating the Chinese market for sales potential.

Honda Aircraft, preparing to introduce the HondaJet to the Chinese market during next month’s Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE) in Shanghai, has assembled a mini-tour for the aircraft in Greater China with stops that will include Hong Kong and Taipei.

The aircraft first will appear on static display during ABACE from April 11 to 13 at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and then will head to Hong Kong International Airport on April 19, followed by Taipei Songshan Airport on April 21.

“Honda Aircraft Company continues to evaluate new markets as part of our global sales strategy for the HondaJet,” said Honda Aircraft president and CEO Michimasa Fujino. “With its high performance, superior fuel efficiency and a range that covers this region, the HondaJet would be a valuable tool to support business growth in this emerging region for light jets.”

Honda currently offers the jet for sale in North America, South America, and Europe through a dealer network, but has been evaluating the Asian market. The company first brought the aircraft to Asia in spring of 2015 in a tour that involved several stops in Japan.
