Jet Aviation San Juan Holds Grand Opening

The rebranded Pazos FBO Services location now represents Jet Aviaition's second FBO in the Caribbean and its 10th in the Americas

Jet Aviation San Juan held its grand opening recently with a gala reception at the FBO, one of two service providers at Puerto Rico’s San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport. Formerly Pazos FBO Services, the Jet Aviation location opened last year. It features a 12,500-square-foot glass-fronted terminal with an in-house U.S. Customs and Border Control facility, making it the only FBO in the Caribbean to offer such service.

For Jet Aviation, the rebranding of the facility represents an expansion of its Caribbean presence, joining its location in Nassau, Bahamas, and notching its 10th  FBO in the Americas.

The economic climate may change, but service remains king.

“We’re not here just to put another dot on the map. We’re here to develop partnerships with people like [Pazos founder and president of Jet Aviation San Juan] Jose Maldonado. We’re here to develop the economy here in Puerto Rico and drive business aviation traffic, and we’re very confident that we can do that,” said David Paddock, the General Dynamics subsidiary’s senior vice president of regional business operations for the U.S., adding that the U.S. Customs facility, which opened earlier this year, is a key enhancement. “That customs facility is already driving a significant amount of traffic through San Juan to other locations internationally.”
