Jetex Flight Support

Jetex Flight Support

Besides operating nearly three dozen FBOs worldwide, this company offers flight-support and concierge services.

What It Is: A Dubai, U.A.E.–based international network of FBOs and operations centers offering luxurious terminal facilities, global trip planning, air charter, ground support services, and bespoke concierge services.

How It Grew: Founder Adel Mardini opened Jetex during the Dubai Airshow in June 2005, initially providing flight-planning and ground-handling services at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Jetex acquired its first FBO at Paris Le Bourget Airport in 2009 and added facilities in Ukraine, Beijing, and Ireland through 2011. The company opened another FBO at the new Dubai World Central/Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in 2013, keeping its global headquarters at DXB.

Between 2015 and 2019, Jetex opened or cobranded with more than 30 FBOs in North and South America, Europe, and Asia, including a network of 15 FBOs in France and five in Morocco. It entered the U.S. FBO market in 2018 by partnering with San Bernardino, California–based Luxivair. Jetex also opened two operations centers and launched a trip-planning app and online portal during this time.

The company debuted its flagship VIP Terminal at its DWC FBO in 2016 while launching the world’s first Rolls-Royce airside shuttle service. At 16,145 square feet, the luxuriously appointed DWC terminal is the largest in the Jetex portfolio and caters to royals and VIPs with exclusive lounges and meeting rooms, private dining areas, a game room featuring a crystal LED 12K television, Metronap sleep pods, and a lavish cigar lounge. Boutiques offer items such as supercars, $2 million decorative carpets, artwork crusted with gold and precious gems, premium cigars and perfumes, a portable mosque built mostly of amber costing more than $1 million, and handmade Italian clothing.
