London Oxford Offers Deal for First-time Bizjet Users

“Try and Fly” promotion waives the landing fee, halves parking fees for up to a week and offers a fuel dicsount for first-time users of the airport.

London Oxford Airport has launched a promotion called "Try and Fly" that waives the landing fee and halves parking fees for up to a week for first-time business aircraft users of the airport, it announced this week at the 2017 NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference. The airport, 40 miles from greater London, is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and business aircraft are handled there by OxfordJet.

The deal, which runs through year-end, includes a 2.5 percent discount on fuel uplifts over 1,500 liters/396 gallons via partner AirBP. London Oxford's promotion is subject to a 48-hour reservation and applies to aircraft with an mtow of more than 15 metric tons/33,070 pounds; it also requires a 500-liter/132-gallon fuel uplift.

According to Oxford Airport business development head James Dillon-Godfray, the promotion could save operators “thousands of dollars” on a transatlantic trip through the UK for those with large business jets. “We look forward to welcoming first-time visitors to London Oxford and urge them to make the most of these opportunities while they last,” he noted. “With easy access to London and the jointly owned and operated London Heliport at Battersea, we offer a unique package to clients using both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.”
