Parts Are Flowing to Eclipse 500 Owners

Eclipse Aviation is dead and gone­­-it declared bankruptcy in 2008-but its Eclipse 500 very light jet lives on, thanks to Eclipse Aerospace, which purchased the defunct manufacturer's assets last September. The new company is reportedly meeting its plan to supply parts and provide upgrades to Eclipse 500 owners "and most former suppliers are interested in supporting the new Eclipse Aerospace," according to a recently released customer communiqué. Other developments include availability of new tires that provide twice the number of landings as the original ones; the opening of an Albuquerque service center with 13 mechanics; and selection of Global Jet Services for maintenance training.
