Ready, Set...Go to Reno

The National Championship Air Races and Airshow will once again be held at Reno Stead Airfield in Reno, Nev. Scheduled for September 14 to 18, this is the last pylon racing event in the world, where seven classes of aircraft race around the course–sometimes at more than 500 mph.

The show will include performances by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team, the USAF F-22 Raptor and the Navy Parachute Team. Also on hand will be civilian aerobatic pilots, who will no doubt dazzle show-goers with their outside loops, square loops, torque rolls and double snap rolls. Finally, who could pass up a chance to watch the ShockWave Jet Truck race airplanes at more than 300 mph?

For the true enthusiast, a trip to the Pits is in order. There you can roam among the aircraft and interact with the pilots and crews.

Corporate chalets and hospitality options are available.
