Flexjet Expands Private Terminal Concept

The fractional provider spent more than $5 million to create a state-of-the-art private terminal and hangar at New York’s Westchester County Airport.

Continuing the trend of major fractional aircraft ownership companies establishing their own FBOs at popular destinations, Cleveland-based Flexjet, the second-largest provider in the U.S., recently announced that it will open its fourth such facility, at Dallas Love Field. To see what these FBOs have to offer, BJT sister publication Aviation International News recently visited the Flexjet terminal at New York's Westchester County Airport. Though this New York City–area hub is already rich in FBO options, Flexjet acquired a former flight department hangar and spent more than $5 million converting it into a state-of-the-art 4,000-square-foot private terminal, and adjoining 30,000–square–foot hangar that can accommodate the largest aircraft in the company’s fleet.
