How It Grew: Longtime friends Joshua Hebert (cofounder of charter access and auction site, Anthony Tivnan, and Gregory Belezerian launched the company in 2008, promising access to a private jet within 10 hours. Magellan prepaid operators to cement relationships and gain use of their best aircraft. In 2012 the company introduced a 10-hour jet card on the Eclipse 500, the lowest-hour-denominated offering from a major provider, with no minimum flight times or blackout dates. That same year, the company debuted a private jet search app for iPhones that accessed real-time charter market information and allowed booking via Docu-signed contracts.
